ANS has unveiled its cutting-edge tech hub in the heart of Manchester, creating a dynamic space that will revolutionise the tech ecosystem in the Northwest. The new campus, is set to serve as a vibrant hub for collaborative working spaces, providing its employees, customers, local businesses, and communities access to innovate.
Community focus
In its continuing efforts to support the local community, the ANS tech hub opens its doors to community groups and charity partners, offering access to bookable spaces, well-being programmes, and a joint venture educational program.
The tech hub was opened by renowned peace activist Prof. Erinma Bell, whose expertise will further elevate ANS’s vision of fostering inclusivity and growth and create a brighter future for Manchester’s tech landscape. Her speech gave a strong message on how initiatives like the new ANS campus supported her goal to increase accessibility to industries like technology for the young people of Moss Side, Hulme and surrounding areas.
The celebrations came to life with an amazing show by Manchester Youth Zone dance troupe and were closed with a moving performance by Hideout Youth Zone both of which are ANS community partners.
ANS is continuing these community partnership collaborations and hopes to empower young individuals and provide them with opportunities to explore and pursue careers in technology, meeting the demand for a more diverse and skilled future workforce. ANS is also actively collaborating with schools and the community, with initiatives that have seen ANS donate laptops to enhance digital literacy and provide access to technology for those in need.
Future talent
The tech hub, strategically located in a vibrant area of Manchester surrounded by prestigious universities and investments, has a modular design and a variety of facilities, including Susan’s Bar – a brilliant social and recreational space – and modern classroom. The campus also houses ANS’s acclaimed Training Academy, which is rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, and its Apprentice Academy, which has seen 250 individuals graduate to date.
A hub for all
The new tech hub embodies ANS’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, with EDI focus groups significantly involved in the design. Features such as a lower reception desk, hearing aid loops, accessible ‘You Loo’ bathrooms and prayer rooms ensure that it is welcoming and accommodating to all.
Global Recognition
Apay Obang-Oyway, Partner Sales Director for Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft attended and made an emphatic speech praising ANS mission of making tech accessible for all and the company’s technical excellence as one of the top global Microsoft partners.
Richard Thompson, CEO at ANS, commented: “We exist to make technology accessible for all organisations, large or small. Thompson added: “We’re creating something really special here and the local community, the tech community and our customers play a huge part in that.”
